Hotter than hell...
Have you ever seen "Man Bites Dog?" I watched this movie for the first time last night/early this morning, and it's absolutely FUCKING insane. Benoit is a fucked up dude from Belgium(?), a serial killer who has a film crew following him around while he does his thing. The film consisted of him killing people - old and young - via heart attack, by choking them, by shooting them, by bludgeoning them to death, whatever.
Now, I enjoy fucked up movies, not because I'm a fucked up person, although some would argue that, but because these movies portray a realistic society. Plus, considering I would like to be a criminal psychologist, I have a bit of an interest in the thought patterns of fucked up people.
Anyways, aside from my normal appreciation for these types of "controversial" movies, this is one of the couple movies that I have ever seen, that really made me cringe a little bit. I absolutely adore old people, so real or fake, its hard for to watch people take advantage of them, let alone kill them. There were a few instances of that in this movie... not cool.
Towards the latter part of the film, there was a pretty intense rape scene, and that's always a bit hard to watch. It was rough, and a bit of a gang-bang type rape. Ouch!
Then, there is the part where he suffocates a little boy. That just KILLS me (no pun intended).
So, if you're into controversial-type shit, this film is a necessity. The rape scene comes second to that of Cannibal Holocaust.
On a less offensive note, everyone should see Mary and Max. It's a claymation-type film, with some dark humor about a little Australian girl who becomes pen-pals with an old "Jewish" atheist from New York City. It's rad!
Pictures from my weekend will follow.
